Position: Assistant Grower

In this role, the procurement coordinator will be responsible for:
*Under the direction of the Senior Grower, ideal candidate must be able to manage and execute tasks having to do with the overall growing and maintenance of plants to ensure proper plant growth and health.
*Evaluate crop needs and work with the IPM department on managing pests. Utilize staging and production reports for the time growth of plants for sales.
*The position requires a detailed approach to ensure crops develop per existing best practices including irrigation needs, scout for insects and disease, hormone and trimming treatments.
Required Skills:

Position: Scout Manager

In this role, the scout manager will be responsible for:
- Scout Manager will be responsible to arrange the scouting schedule across the farm based on the spray advisory. This involves direct and frequent communication with the spray manager.
- He/she will supervise field scouts in terms of their speed, quality, accuracy and consistency.
- Coordinate with all farm locations with receiving and distributing the scout report.
- Educate the field scouts through direct communication and occasional in-house training program.
- He/she is also responsible for coordinating training from external sources such as industry technical support team, Extension agents and University researchers.
- Send the pest-infected sample to the plant disease diagnostic laboratory, distribute the report to everyone and document them.
- Flexible enough to work with other managers that might need help from field scouts such as shipping, predator release etc.
Required Skills:
- Must be honest and forthcoming, flexible, reliable, respectful to others.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English. A good translator is a plus.
- Identification of pest (disease, insects, mites) that are common in the South Florida region. Understanding their biology is plus.
- Basic understanding of chemical spray program and spray advisory.
- Familiarity with biologicals.
Education:
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Horticulture, Agronomy or related field.
