This lovely bush is perfect for creating a privacy hedge or a focal point for an entryway. Use in large containers on patios or porches to create a calming backdrop. These plants grow about 8 feet tall and about 2 feet wide, making them ideal for a narrow or small space on the patio entryway or in the landscape. This versatile holly has evergreen, dense foliage that resembles that of a boxwood. Unlike most hollies, this holly does not have pointy leaves, so they are safe to plant around walkways or driveways.
Sky pencil prefers slightly acidic soil; however, it will do well in almost any soil type as long as it is well-drained. When planting, dig a hole as deep as the root ball and about three times as wide. This will entice the roots to spread adequately. Prune this holly during the late fall when it is dormant. During the spring, fertilize with fertilizer for hollies.
Note: These plants are grown for decorative purposes and are not intended for human or animal consumption
